March 2, 2013by Editor Leave a comment

I am drawing inspiration from this palm-sized leather-bound book with a gold stenciled cover that reads “Guide To Piety” and is very likely over a 110 years old! A schedule […]

Life is full of twists and turns, so the adage goes. In Chinese mythology, the red thread🧶 is the unbreakable cord that connects two people who are destined to be together. I was not thinking about all this 🙄 when I designed this necklace, but it being #valentinesday and all, posting this pretty thing that is now available at Amelie @outlookinn_orcas makes a lot of sense. ❤️🎏 Long may you give love and be loved 💌📯 . . #feltandceramicsstudio #optimismandco #symbolic #handmademakesitspecial #wearclay #jewelry #redthread #loveis #beloved #porcelain #statementnecklace #wearit #love_ceramic #keramik #oneofakind #wearable #eastsound #orcasisland #shoplocal #adorn

What a beautiful, symbolic thing to share in on the last morning of 2018! With cake and champagne from @maryjaneceramics, a group of us gathered to burn out the wood fired kiln that we have been building brick by brick this past year. With all our very different lives and schedules, it’s a bit of a miracle we’ve gotten this far along. Whatever your passion, your cause, your raison d'etre, fire it up and burn bright! Happy 2019!!
Texture love. I’m fascinated by mossy micro worlds, especially one like this, a luminescent oasis on a rocky, wind-whipped ledge.
